What is the first memory you have of riding a bike?

it was my first time of stabilisers and I was riding round the park and face planted the floor .... fortunately it didn't put me off!

How did you get involved in cycling?

As a kid I did most sports, one being triathlon. I went to a triathlon exhibition where British Cycling were talent spotting, after spending most of the day on their stand I was invited for some testing and then gained a place on the talent team in 2005.

What was your first race and how did it go?

Crystal Palace circuit race when I was 13.  Safe to say I didn't set the world alight!

Why do you race?

I'm a pretty competitive person and love the feeling of winning, or seeing team mates win.

Where is your favourite place to ride?

It has to be Majorca, I have spent many training camps there.

What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

Standing on the podium in Rio last year listening to the national anthem after winning the Paralympic Pursuit. For me, I had to overcome some challenges just to get to Rio, so to be standing there on the top step, it made everything worth it.

Do you have any pre-race routines or lucky charms?

Before big completions I always have to watch the Lion King, I have no idea why, it's just something I have to do.

What is your favourite music to listen to?

Bit of a mixture but my pre race play list always has to have Viva la Vida by Coldplay.

What do you like to do when you have time at home that is not cycling?

Spend lots of time playing with my miniature dachshund, Skye.
