What is the first memory you have of riding a bike?

Playing out the front of our house as kids with my two brothers. My bike was pink and had a basket.

How did you get involved in cycling?

I moved to Bristol from London and wanted to explore the area and make friends with like-minded people.

What was your first race and how did it go?

Odd Down – local circuit race. Fast, frenetic and I got blown off the back. It set me a target – to stick with the bunch – and ambition grew from there. That’s what I love about racing – you can always set yourself a stretching goal.

Why do you race?

I like to push myself out of my comfort zone and the excitement whether you win or not is a great rush.

Where is your favourite place to ride?

Wales.

What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

Getting selected for the Fusion RT Velo Performance team - I’m really looking forward to developing my racing with such a great team!

Do you have any pre-race routines or lucky charms?

Always the same warm-up on the rollers listening to music to get in the right frame of mind.

What is your ambition for 2019?

Get stuck into racing at national level, playing my role in the team and podiums at Regionals!

What is the race you would most love to compete in and why?

Ryedale seems up my street being pretty hilly, but if we are talking any race then I would love to do La Course – one of the stages of the Tour de France.

What is your favourite music to listen to?

Playlists for training and racing are dance/drum & bass heavy.

What do you like to do when you have time at home that is not cycling?

Chilling out with my boyfriend, enjoying good food and planning holidays.
