What is the first memory you have of riding a bike?

Riding down the garden for the first time without stabilisers…I remember falling off a lot!

How did you get involved in cycling?

I took it up after I injured my knee in 2012, mainly to strengthen the muscles so I could go back to running but never did!

What was your first race and how did it go?

My first race was round 1 of the Springtime Pursuits in Devon; I managed to get on the podium so it went quite well.  All I really remember about the race was how cold it was!

Why do you race?

The teamwork and tactics.

Where is your favourite place to ride?

What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

Getting the overall team win with Fusion in the Ras na mBan, especially given the company we were in.   Everything about the race was fantastic – the organisation, the terrain, the stage routes, the support.

Do you have any pre-race routines or lucky charms?

I don’t really have any – I’m quite fussy when it comes to pinning on race numbers so I don’t have much time for anything else!

What is the race you would most love to compete in and why?

The Women’s Tour of Britain – the support from teams/riders and spectators is incredible to see.

What do you like to do when you have time at home that is not cycling?

I’ve recently taken up bouldering since moving back to Bristol.
