What is the first memory you have of riding a bike?

Pink bike for my birthday when I was 4 – my brother had the same…!

How did you get involved in cycling?

My family, especially my dad and brother, are very keen and encouraged me to race.

What was your first race and how did it go?

First road race was Ipswich road race and won on a sprint hill finish after being led out by team mate Nicola Tomms.

Why do you race?

I love the buzz and the fun. I also like having something to train hard for.

Where is your favourite place to ride?

What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

Continuing wanting to race after a bad accident with a motorbike at Tour de Yorkshire in 2018.

Do you have any pre-race routines or lucky charms?

Have everything planned out to the minute and laid out. And then I just eat, eat and eat.

What is your ambition for 2019?

To race as much as I can possibly fit in to my life and out of my body!

What is the race you would most love to compete in and why?

Tour de Yorkshire – so I actually get to ride it and finish it. The atmosphere is incredible and I was gutted to miss out on almost all of it!

What is your favourite music to listen to?

Depends on the mood. When training I mix it up - everything from hip hop to trance to old man rock.

What do you like to do when you have time at home that is not cycling?

Cook – make up new things and have mates and family over for dinner.  Drink nice wine. Walk the dog and go to country pubs.
