The break forms over the top of the climb.
Joscelin Lowden takes the podium at Capernwray.
It was a great start to the team’s 2019 season at Capernwray this past weekend with Joscelin Lowden of Brother UK Fusion RT winning 1st place.
Described as a ‘punchy little circuit’ the 76km race was the first of the team’s season in the new team kit for 2019 and saw the field pretty much decimated from the first lap when it was reduced to 14 riders and lined out over half a km.
Joscelin, together with team member Rebecca Richardson, Jo Tindley of Campinense - Velo Performance and Mary Wilkinson Team Jadan Weldtite-Vive le Velo attacked over the top of the climb and the break built up a lead before Joscelin attacked again with two laps to go and won the race with a 2-minute gap to the chasing group of three. Team members Jenny Hudson and April Tacey were in the group behind.
As well as winning the race Joscelin also won QOM for good measure! A fantastic day out for the team and an excellent well thought out race. Well done to all those that took part and congratulations to Joscelin for an excellent win.
