British Cycling Women's Road Series for 2016 released

British Cycling has today announced the dates for the 2016 British Cycling Women’s Road Series.  Won by Nicola Juniper in 2015, the series begins on the 10 April with a new addition to the calendar - the Manx International GP Feminin.

The nine-event series will then go on to the Tour of the Reservoir Two-Day before making a return to the popular Cheshire Classic which in 2016 will be contested on a new course taking in Overton Hill and Delamere Forest.

Two new races in Lincoln and Newton Longville will feature for the first time, while the Essex Giro Two-Day, Curlew Cup, Otley Grand Prix and Ryedale Grand Prix all make a welcome return to the series.

Team Manager, Terry Williamson, said: “It’s a great series of events for the Women’s Road Series in 2016, with a good mixture of some of the old favourites as well as some brand new races.  We look forward to a cracking 2016 season."
